That's why I've been pushing for an MPE-level solution to the problem.
I'd hate to see Samba implement a private solution, because a lot
of different programs/subsystems have the same problem!

Or, in the samba config file:
[MPEUSERS]
manager = MANAGER.SYS
lars = LARS.HPGRC,APPEL
administrator = MGR.SAMBA,PUB/PUBPASS
Then, samba uses that mapping to convert my NT machine's
"ADMINISTRATOR" to "MGR.SAMBA,PUB" (with a group password of PUBPASS).
