Perhaps Interex knows something the rest of us don't?

Subject: Interex isn't for HP 3000 Personnel Anymore?

Hi All,
Ok... twice in one week and I have to ask... Just Who does Interex
represent?? See the samples below... and think about the person who is
thinking about whether or not to switch away from the HP e3000 or stay with
the HP 3000...

First I recieved an email from Cramsession Must Know News - HTML
<[log in to unmask]> with the subject of: "What Can
Professional Organizations Do For You?" that has the following text
concerning Interex in it.... with no mention of the HP e3000.... Is Interex
now trying to be silent about the 3k since HP has finally started talking
about it? Read on ... Interex didn't even list the 3k on Interex's own web
site!!

Makes one wonder about what kind of advocacy Interex is doing on the part
of their 3000 shop members...

Then I check out the Interex page and find this:
What is Interex?

Interex is the International Association of Hewlett-Packard Computing
professionals. It is a not-for-profit self-help group of users whose charter
is to promote the effective utilization of Hewlett-Packard workstations and
servers (UNIX, NT, and Linux based).

The group strives to provide substantial, diverse networks of communication
to share and exchange information. These networks - including the yearly
InterWorks Conference and Exhibition - provide Interex members, HP staff
representatives, and third-party vendors appropriate forums to work together
toward mutual technological goals.

Additional details on Interex can be found at www.interex.org or by calling
1-800-INTEREX (1-800-468-3739).
