Check the dataset files, sounds like the root file is released but the dataset files are not. You may want to secure and release the DB again, just to be sure.

Subject: [HP3000-L] IMAGE ACCESS PROBLEM ACROSS ACCOUNTS

we have a case where we run a program in one account, opening a db across accounts, with update.
Users have caps as IA,BA,PH,MR,DS,SF,ND
The remote db is released (Security is OFF). The group is marked AC on all access types, which is consistent with another system where it all works.
The open base name is file equated to the actual base.

Recently something has changed such that the program breaks ....the open works, returns 0, but first Find fails with a -1 . The remote db shows as open to the program ok at the time, with program stopped at the error, still running. . The prog is a BBX one, some result run interpreter as compiled.

If we run as a user with higher caps (SM!) it works fine.

Anybody???

thanks,
jp
