Ok, I just got a call back from the RC and he indicated that if the LPQ is connected to the JetDirect box then the page level recovery feature can be made to work??

Here's what he says will make it work:

1. Make sure the JetDirect and printer are configured for Bitronics and
    that an IEEE 1284 compliant cable is used.
2.  In the NPCONFIG file for the LPQ set PJL_SUPPORTED=TRUE
2.  Power down the JetDirect and the printer
3.  Down the spoooler for the device
4.  Power on the JetDirect
5.  Power on the printer
6.  Start the spooler

He indicated if this is done then recovery will work.  I did not order the JetDirect and do not  have one that I could have tested before posting but thought I'd pass along what I was told...  hope it works.

I will get a JetDirect card to try but if someone tries can you post your results????  TIA, bob
