Hi All :)
Stan's points are, once again, right on the money.... HPSWINFO.PUB.SYS
can easily be changed with or without malice aforethought!

While it may be anal retentive and seem useless.... a paper trail is
great! I have a notebook, labeled MPE/iX Patches that has a section for
every patch I have installed for 6.5... and a listing a HPSWINFO from when I
applied the patch... plus the instruction sheet that I used for applying
(sp) the patch... complete with my notes... tho' some of those notes contain
some language that isn't suitable for all audiences! hehe)

Whoever needs to check the patch status of either of our 3k's can do so
by reviewing the notebook... whether I am here, on vacation or on long term
deployment!

Remember... if it is on paper it can be read even after an erroreous (sp)
restore!

Art "'course my handwriting is even worse than my spelling! hehe " Bahrs
