Richard,
Are you using clear-text passwords on the 2000 systems and
have you installed the clear-text password registry hack on the
other systems? The NT registry entry is different than that
required for WIN95 SE2 and Win98.

This made the NT connected extremely fast, but still we can't use 98, 2000
or XP to access the drive.
In the log, when using XP, we see:
"Error writing 4 bytes to client. -1. Exiting."
