  I know this is a stupid question, please forgive me. Is telnet enabled on
both
machines? In SAM, look at Network Services. Normally this option is enabled but
it would cause your problem.
  Other areas to check:
 Telnet can be limited to certain IP address's
 The Telnet port could be a different number on one of the machines.
 Is there a firewall anywhere in the connection? It can really confuse the
issue.
