Hi Group:

I have a different question regarding moving from PC based to host based
DTC management.

After this weekend, 4 out of 5 of our HP3000's will be on 5.5 so we can do
host based DTC management/configuration. I am *assuming* that on any
given DTC that is only in use by 5.5 systems (single or multiple), I can
remove it from DTC manager, turn on host based in NMMGR and all will work.
I am also *assuming* that any DTC that is entirely used by the 5.0 system
must remain managed from DTC Manager.

Here is the first question: What about a DTC that has nailed ports to
both the 5.0 system some of the 5.5 systems? I would think It would need
to be controled by DTC Manager, but maybe someone else has had some
experience with this. Any ideas?

The second question is regarding the one thing I *love* about DTC manager,
the graphic representation and the "status" colors. Has anyone managed
the status of the DTC's using Openview Network Node Manager? I see in DTC
Manager the buttons to enable SNMP, but I have not been able to get it
turned on. I really haven't tried that hard, since I want to combine this
with switching back to Host based management configuration.

Thanks in advance as always!

/alan
