I believe that whenever you :COPY a spool file, it's CCTL (in the first
character of each line) becomes 'visible'.  The solution is to re-spool
the file to the printer with the SPOOLF command.  You could also use
SPOOKNM or Jeff Vance's SPOOK command file to make the copy directly
into
the system spooler.
