Save your money, take a cruise outside the 3 mile limit, and cast them off.

One of the solutions I mentioned to the honorable Dr. Ferenc Nagy last
year when he was trying to donate his old machine was to get a razor
blade and scrape the surface of the disc clean.
Or you could try Steel Wool or a Milling Machine.
