Tymlabs used to sell a program called "Copyrite", which had the important
capability of re-organizing CM KSAM files in a special way that was about
ten times faster than FCOPY. As far as I know there is no equivalent
program for NM KSAM but I have noticed comments on this list indicating
that some people have a problem with the time taken to re-organize KSAM files.

I am contemplating writing a program to do just this. However, I don't
want to get started on what I am sure will be an expensive and
time-consuming business if no-one would be interested in using it. I would
appreciate comments as follows:

1. Would you be interested in such a program? (Presumably it would handle
Image B-trees as well.)

2. How much would you be prepared to pay for it (possibly different prices
depending on how efficient it turned out to be)?

3. Is anyone else engaged in a similar pursuit? I'm not interested in
re-inventing the wheel.

If you wish, please send your answers directly to me to eliminate clutter
on the list.
