It has been our experience over the years that these codes change their
"expected function" with every new printer. Our records office was
about the only special case we had, they had a tray reserved for
"official transcript" (watermarked, copy-proof, etc) paper. Only
official paid transcripts went on this paper.
Everytime they replaced the printer (we started doing transcripts in the
80s, and still do transcripts today off the 3000 for the "unconverted"
data) we would have to go reconfigure something (ESPUL or Formation or
environment file or printer or program or all of the above) because the
tray selection didn't work anymore...
Yes, the codes will do "something" but its a trial-and-error discovery
process of just what codes do what function :)
