Ah 2 cents/euros/pounds (although God only knows if that actually works
anymore given the financial crisis the world seems to have found its self
in, I have found, and I might be on my own here, but on a number of my
customers machines, that whereas additions and frequently changes are fine
with a doionow, a deletion never seems to work and does require a reboot to
sort out the config. Could be the patch level of the machine, but still its
worth noting.
Its Friday and a bottle of wine cries out like a System Abort for attention.
So a happy weekend from this side of the pond :-)

One clarification came to my mind when re-reading above sentence:
While the SLT is not needed to activate the IOCONFIG changes,
creating an updated SLT after config changes is a good idea from
the backup point-of-view, of course.
