Before answering the specific questions, we'll need to overcome one
pretty basic contradiction:

The 918LX has one full-height expansion slot.

Presumably, this will contain the full-height FWSCSI card that is
required to connect the mod20.

You have no remaining slots - not even a half-height one - to install
the half-height 100mb network adapter.

Like how can company B's 100mb network card be where you say it is if
it's occupied by the FWSCSI card.

So, as far as I can tell, company B's machine must either be
"virtual" or is not the model you claim it to be.

I believe that the expansion slot for a 918 is slot 56/40.

There is no slot 56/48 on a 918LX.

You would need to go to an RX or SX body - which I believe is NOT
available with the 918 - and is certainly not available on the 918LX.

 From what I know, anyway.

I'm sure others will correct me if I'm mistaken.
