Sorry Brice,
I did not follow American politics years ago and not every election.
Wonder what would have happened if the famous car-maker YUGO would have
set
the standard for cars. They were making a vehicle that needed imprevement,
if I remember correctly.
----------------------
What would have happened is a lot of people would not want to buy cars.
YUGO is to cars what Iran is to Democracy.
If I were to try to apply the YUGO situation to the idea of instituting
Democracy in Iraq, I would have to say the YUGO might have successfully
been marketed in a place where people rode Oxen for transportation.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Let's not be slamming Yugos. Read what the one of the LAPD's top
detectives has said about this car.
Joe Friday: After losing the two previous vehicles we had been issued, the
only car the department was willing to release to us at this point was an
unmarked 1987 Yugo, a Yugoslavian import donated to the department as a
test vehicle by the government of that country and reflecting the cutting
edge of Serbo-Croatian technology.
Now who can argue with that.
