hi all --

i installed sendmail on one of my boxes a couple of weeks
ago (and everything went quite smoothly! thank you mark
:-). i didn't realize at the time that the clock on this
machine was *way* off. after awhile, i started to get
messages like this on the console:

17:04/#J7/77/Jul 26 17:04:42 localhost sendmail[720978]:
alias database /SENDMAIL/PUB/etc/aliases.db out of date
17:04/#J7/77/Jul 26 17:04:42 localhost sendmail[720978]:
alias database /SENDMAIL/PUB/etc/majordomo.aliases.db out of
date

i rebooted the system today and corrected both the hardware
(no, it's not 1995) and software clocks (no, it's not
2003!). i would have thought (was really hoping) that
correcting the clock on the system would have made the
messages go away but....alas, they're still there. is there
a cure? can/should i purge this aliases.db file? will
sendmail rebuild it? - d
