Gentle HP 3000 listers,

I apologize for interruption the ongoing discussion with an off-topic
question, but there is much diverse knowledge and sagacity in this list.

Does anyone have any experience with CD-R? I have a customer who has
bought 2 HP SureStore CD-Rs in the last two years, and they both committed
suicide after one year. The most recent one is a 4020. Does this
experience track with anybody else's?

I recently bought a Sony CDU-926S and I am quite pleased with it. But it
is new. I would hate to recommend it to anyone until I have burned a few
hundred CD-Rs in it. (Maybe by HP World.)

Also, if you do use a CD-R, which medium do you use and what experience
have you had with it? I use mainly TDK and some Verbatim, Sony and
Phillips. There are some idiosyncrasies with reading CD-R depending on the
medium, but overall it has been very good.

Please reply to me directly as this is off-topic and I do not believe most
people are interested in this subject.

Kind regards,

Denys. . .
