Well, actually I have milked horses (actually only one horse) when we
had a foal born to a particularly nasty mare and she refused to let him
nurse.  She also refused to let me milk her (I got a bruise on my behind
as a reward), so she's no longer with us.  And the Russians (or was it
the Mongols . . . or was it Russo-Mongolian?) routinely milk horses
and make some kind of fermented brew from it.

But, I agree with you about the sheep.
