That would work. Or something like Orbit where you see that it is asking for
an additional tape within the stdlist. So if you are watching the batch job
with something like nbspool you will see the request.

I think this is an item I initiated on sysmpe a year  (or 2) ago.
That the "mount next reel" console message should be placed into reply table
so you could do a "RECALL" on it. And as soon as you mount the next tape,
the reply-request is removed.

I believe this how it is done on MPE/V.
