Hi all,

I'm pleased to announce a new release of my IDent/3000 PCI
Compliance Utility that adds the ability to detect file changes by
means of a cryptographically-secure state-of-the-art checksum
algorithm (Whirlpool).

Whirlpool creates a 512-bit message digest for each monitored file;
IDent stores these signatures, and uses them to detect new,
changed, and deleted files.

The file Checksum feature is one of many enhanced security features
offered by IDent, used by several HP3000 sites to conform to PCI
requirements.

IDent's Checksum function is smart enough to ignore the parts of
CM programs and libraries that are modified by the loader, and hence
minimizes false positives. It doesn't touch last-access timestamps,
and can safely be used to scan all HP3000 file types.

Please contact me for further information or for a demo package.
