If you mean, can I connect SCSI drives that are on an HP 3000 to an HP 9000
and use the disk space but not the files (i.e. you wipe the disks clean),
the answer is yes, as long as the interface is supported the HP 9000. The
MPE file system on the disk drives will not be readable by the HP9000.

Subject: HP9000 and HP3000
Forgive my ignorance but I am new to HP hardware. Can you connect drives
that run on an HP3000 to an HP9000? Will the system/software work this way?
Thanks!
Christie
