A quick check of a 6.0 system fails to find this HPESTATUS value in the
system message catalog. Stan might recognize the error or be able to
suggest something. We have some new tools that we've recently developed
for extracting files off of partial MPE volumes and partial volume sets
(since DISKUTIL/VOLUTIL-RECOVER seem to be relatively worthless) if you
have critical information you need to recover.
