I've had the case where the tape drive would stop responding,
with a tape in it. No lights. I had to re-power the drive
(first couple times was re-power the system; then ... we wont
go there). MPE 6.0 and MPE 7.0.
Must be the drive; I don't have an answer.
Sure wish these scsi devices had a front reset button.
