Many moons ago I wrote a command file, HP2RTF to convert a cctl file to
word-processor-readable rich-text format, converting the carriage control
codes to the appropriate number of line-feeds as part of the process. It's
happier if you redirect your output to a cctl disk file, but it can sort-of
handle spool files too. I contains its own complete source code, so if it
doesn't do exactly what you want you can tweak it.
It went thru a bunch of versions, from slow all-interpreted to fast mix of
mpe commands & compiled cobol -- I thought how I spliced those together was
one of the neatest things I ever did.

Subject: [HP3000-L] stripping CCTL from spoolfiles
The list has been quiet lately. I have an on topic question.
Apart from going into QEDIT (sadly they do not have) and deleting the first
column.
How can I strip out the Carriage Control from a spool file?
Thanks,
-Craig
