This is another case where the answer will always be a multiple of 9. 

All such numbers in the list of symbols have the symbol among the jumble 
of other symbols that, a different one is chosen for it each time, but 
they all get the same new one each time.

At the end they show you that symbol.

I've seen several incarnations of this one.
