and I don't think the process would be as horrible as pipple seem to be
imagining - might have to call it NewPE or similar (you know hp's gonna
change the name even if that's ALL they do), but we're basically talking
about creating an interface that user pgms, compiled with NewPE libraries,
would call for, fregzample, FWRITE, which would do its internal thing only
to the point of handling magic file types, but use Unix filespace. We'd
want MPE security too, but that maps atop UX a lot easier than the other way
around, no?
