This is also a problem is you use compuserve and try to use RNS products in a
windows enviroment.
 
One way of moving around the problem is to
 
1.   Remove the Winsock.DLL from the \Windows\System directory (this assumes
your windows directory is called "Windows".
      There are some problems in Windows (and associated applications) if the
directory is not called
      not called "Windows".
 
2.   Place the Winsock.DLL that is appropriate for the package in the working
directory of the application
      In my case this means the Compuserve Winsock lives in the Cserve, CID,
Mosaic directories and the the RNS
      Winsock lives in the \RWIN\WRQNET Directory.
 
3.   This works OK however the problem comes when you try to run both
applications at the same time.  The
      system WILL NOT ALLOW this.
 
The reason this works is that during 'load' time windows looks first in the
working directory then in the 'system' directory and
then searchs the 'dos path'
