Might you be thinking of SpyGlass?  That is/was a product from Workgroup
Solutions, as I recall.

About 4 years ago, I had a demo software package called 'Looking Glass'
that would mirror all information sent to and from another LDEV to yours.

Unfortunately, I haven't worked with an HP now for a few years and have
no idea if newer versions of this product ever made it to the streets.  I
also don't recall the name of the company that produced this software.

Sorry that I can't be of more help, but I can't believe that I was the
only person to use this.  Maybe someone else can fill in some of the
blanks.
