Posts made to mailing lists should never have attachments.  If you have
additional material that you feel might be of specific interest to some
individuals, describe it in your letter and offer to send it to them
upon request.  This is much more civil than rebroadcasting an attachment
to thousands of disinterested members. Many of us will not put e-mail
attachments on our systems in any case due to the security implications.

If you feel that the content of your attachment is of general interest,
then contact the list owner to arrange the placing of this material in
the archives as a separately retrievable item. Then announce its
existance and the manner in which list members can retreive it to the
list.
