We don't have the capacity to do the store locally, thus the reason for my inquiry. Will try the file equate tomorrow.

You might be able to do it...but I think the speed of doing so might be next
to unacceptable.  (doing this on a slow (10) link may provide an opportunity
to achieve zen enlightment (given how long *that* is supposed to take!))

Open a dsline to the target system, do the fancy file equation (do a help on
file), and do the store (citing said fancy feq).

I know some people are doing local store-to-disc backups then ftp'ing to
another system with reasonable success.

Keep in mind that in the event of a problem, recovery may be very
challenging (depending on the severity of the problem).       - d
