Alan,

I do not know about a tool you asked which runs on the HP3000. But it
should be possible to query the TCP/IP Management Information Base
(MIB) of your HP3000 from another computer, without logging in, since
this is public TCP/IP information that can be accessed throug SNMP
requests. The routing table is part of the MIB.

For example, on a Novell fileserver/router with TCP/IP loaded there is
a tool called TCPCON.NLM, the TCP/IP Console. I can point this tool to
another host (like our HP3000) and then browse through the MIB of the
HP3000. No username/password for the HP3000 is required.

Probably there is a Unix tool like that as well.
