>Today, we were unable to ABORTJOB or ABORTIO on a session which was trying
to lock a dataset. Is there anything that exists either in MPEiX or MPEX
which allows us to abort the pin? I have heard that there was but I don't
remember what it was.

Besides UNDEDLOCK for trying to resolve a possible deadlock, you might
also want to check if there is really a deadlock or if the problem could
be resolved by aborting the job or session that the hung one is waiting
for (i.e. the one that currently has the desired database locked). Using
DBUTIL SHOW LOCKS might be helpful in that regard.

Lars "not claiming to be a database guru, though"
