Depending upon the system model, a keyed switch is usually provided with a
"SERVICE" or "CONSOLE" position to enable Ctrl-B. Inserting and turning
the key from "Locked" to the appropriate position should take care of it.

Subject: CTL-B does not respond???

I have 2 customers, who recently upgraded their machines to MPE/iX 5.5.
One customer is on release Express 2 and the second one is on Express 3.
Both of them are having problems using CTL-B after the system shutdown and
can
not get '>CM' prompt. They actually have to turn off and turn on the CPU
to
restart their system. Any ideas??
PS: They can use CTL - A and type Shutdown and the system goes all the way
to
(SHUT 6) and then it just sits there and does not respond CTL-B...
Thank you
Greg
