There is no "quick" way that I know of to "expand" a KSAM file
(NM or not) with few million records. I hope you dont have to do
this too often - unless you are constantly adding/deleting entries -
If you are:
* Converting to KSAMXL allows the option to auto-reuse deleted slots.
* beware tho - there is a limit on the max KSAMXL filesize (5.6 million
recs ?- don't remember exactly)
* the auto-reuse will allow you to write a delete process that opens the
KSAM file in shr;lock - so you dont have to disable access to it - i just
did this recently for a 24/7 shop with out-of-state users...
If you absolutely have to - I found it easier to extract the undeleted recs
with SUPRTOOL then add the extract to a new/empty (and larger cap) KSAM(XL)
file.
