I am hoping someone on the net has experience with what I need. I'm
looking for advice on connecting PCs to an HP mainframe via a LAN. Here's
the setup:

approximately 200 PCs, running either WFW 3.11 or Win95.
HP3000 Mainframe
LAN using TCP/IP

We currently have software that connects the PCs to the Mainframe via its
IP address. However, this software costs approx $1000 per seat. the
company is looking for an inexpensive alternative. I have downloaded
several Terminal emulators from the net. I haven't found one yet that will
connect.

The PCs need to act as Terminals while connected.

Any advice?

Please respond via Email

Thanks in advance.
