I don't think it fits your bill, but I have a set of command files that
can, at the highest level, randomize passwords on every account, group,
and user on the system.  You can selectively feed accounts and so forth
to the lower-level command files to apply changes to specific accounts,
but no, it doesn't allow you to select a password.  You could probably
tweak it to do so with some effort (it does traverse the directory).
