That's not quite true. The HP web page says this about the printer:
"IEEE 1284-compliant bidirectional parallel, USB port, HP PCL5/PostScript® 3
â„¢ personalities card in first EIR slot, second available slot for optional
internal Jetdirect card"
This should be more than enough capability for the printer to work with the
HP3000 if those cards are present in the printer (which of course would
indicate that HELL would freeze over).
