The DIFFERENCE is that I DO NOT HAVE to buy their product.  I can move
on, not having payed them a cent.
 
Under this ridiculous scenario, where I give HP money to sell me
something, I cannot go buy an AT&T, a SUN, an SGI.  I have NO other
way to recover my cost of PAYING THEM to sell me something.
 
And, what in the HELL is their motivation to please the customer when
they know you have payed the SALES PRIVLIGE FEE.  You have been
sucked in.  This is a stupid idea.
