I have VERY fond memories of BARUG and Santa Cruz.

Fred White IS one of the greatest. At 82, he continues
to keep people on their toes. I am a lucky guy, because
Fred made significant contributions to IMAGE when he
worked at HP and he made significant contributions to
Adager when he worked with us during the last quarter of
a century of his mathematician/engineer career.

"Retired"? I am sure you have just changed the focus
of your attention to some other worthy objective(s).

Unfortunately, HP's upper crust lost sight of what
they had and they never showed the intensity that Bill
Gates has for Windows, that Steve Jobs has for the Mac,
and so on... Yet another sad "Cinderella" story.

From our Adager perspective (continuous R&D + Support),
we keep as busy as ever. There are so many TurboIMAGE
users, large and small, whose enterprises depend on
this reliable combination of hardware, OS, and DB. We
are here to help all of our good MPE-Image friends.

So, it's not quite "over" yet.

Great ;-)
