It is ICMP redirects, and Kevin is correct you convert from Hex to Decimal and that is the IP address of the "router" that is sending over 128 ICMP's within 90 seconds.

This has been discussed previously on the list with additional details. :)

I don't have answers, just some info.

Parm is IP - C0.A8.D8.36 = 192.168.216.54
PortID: could be a tcp port number, not sure - FEBC = 65212

External Email

Recently I have noticed this message appearing on the system console of our
HP3000 after the nightly backup and file transfer jobs end. I do not know
what
it means but I do know that we have not made any changes to out network
topography in quite some time.

5:23/#J1621/89/LOGOFF ON LDEV #10
** NETXPORT IP : NETWORK PROBLEM; gateway redirects severe
-LOC: 215; Class: 2; Parm= $C0A8D836; PortID: $FFFFFEBC
** NETXPORT IP : NETWORK PROBLEM; gateway redirects severe
-LOC: 215; Class: 2; Parm= $C0A8D836; PortID: $FFFFFEBC

This message sometimes appears around the time JOBS and SESSIONS begin or
terminate. For example:

8:25/#S5435/121/LOGON FOR: USER.ACCT/network logon from 192.168.216.104
** NETXPORT IP : NETWORK PROBLEM; gateway redirects severe
-LOC: 215; Class: 2; Parm= $C0A8D836; PortID: $FFFFFEBC
8:25/#S5434/116/LOGOFF ON LDEV #13

Now it is possible that this message has been there since the dawn of time
and
I just never noticed it before. But I do not think so. My questions are:
What
does it mean? Is it a problem? How is it remedied?

Thanks
