The line at the top of the FORTRAN listing reads:
FORTRAN 77/iX HP31501A.04.33
On another system on which the program compiles with no errors the line reads:
FORTRAN 77/iX HP31501A.04.31
If I am interpreting this correctly, the "earlier" version of FORTRAN doesn't have
the problem?
