I'd like to get a C7145 1/9 DLT Autoloader to backup our 3000. I know
Turbostore can work with the Autoloader's stacker mode to use a new tape
every day, but I'd like a bit more control over the device. I know that
Hiback can make the Autoloader stand up and dance, but I'm not using any NT
or UNIX systems and I'd like to stay with Turbostore to maintain tape
compatibility with other 3000s.

Is there any MPE (or possibly POSIX) utility that can issue basic front
panel commands like 'Load from slot N', 'Unload to slot N', 'Clean', and
perhaps 'Move from slot N to slot M'? I'd like to hear from anyone who is
using some sort of autoloader on the 3000 and would be willing to share
their experience.

Thanks,
