Hello Friends:
Denys Beauchemin said that "To me, only Joe [Geiser] is still sending out
attachments. Are others on this list experiencing the same problem with
Joe's posts?"
I haven't received a single message from Joe including any stray
attachments. In fact, out more than 300 messages I received in the last
week from the list, I got no attachments at all. Pretty strange, because
there are usually at least a few stray winmail.dat's.
I use Eudora Pro. My experience has been that included applications, like
that built-in Web page builder in Navigator or the Outlook mail client in
Explorer, really aren't robust enough. There's a lot of diversity out there
on the Web these days. If you want to read everything, you need to make
some accomodations -- kind of like increasing your vocabulary.
Maybe if there's a lot of stray attachments and 3000-L messages you can't
read in your inbox, it might be time to investigate a more robust mail
client.
Now if only we could get this recent spate of READ: messages out of the
list. I wonder which e-mail progam is doing that?
