Oh, and I agree with Christian, never mind the COMPRESS=HIGH keyword.

So, 125 meter tapes and remove the compress= stuff.

Denys...

Subject: [HP3000-L] MpeiX Turbo-Store Question/Problem

My box is a 917-LX running under 6.5 PP3

Using Turbo-Store/Restore Version C.65.19 B5152AA

:File T;dev=tape
:Store

DDS-3 Tape Drive and using HP's DDS-1, 90 meter tape cartridges 2GB (4GB
compressed)

Takes 7 tapes to backup the entire system.

5 disc drives in box -- Ldev 1,2,3,4,5.

A total of 40 GB disc space is available to this system, and is at around
50% capacity approx.

Why is this full system backup taking so long?

I started it at 6:30 AM this morning and it is still running at 12:30PM (so

far it is on tape #5 of 7)

Any insight would be helpful....

TIA,
Brian Donaldson.
