Since last posting to the newsgroup about SAMBAix, I have gotten
the smbclient software working perfectly! Thanks Lars!

My problem is to get my PC client to talk to the HP 3000 (5.0) SAMBA
server! I have used smbclient on the HP 3000 to talk to the to the
same HP 3000 SAMBA server using ip 127.0.0.1 I believe. So I know the
server is listening.

I think my problem is DNS resolution or DHCP/WINS resolution and
this is where I'm somewhat confused. My PC is now running
WIN 95 with DHCP and WINs turned on. I Don't see any thing set
in the DNS settings. But my PC can ftp, telnet and ping by name
my HP 3000. On my PC I have tried to connect to the HP 3000 server
like this; \\hpserver\share or \\hpserver.ca.boeing.com\share
assuming DNS or WINS is working properly. I have not been able
to connect :(

I would appreciate any suggestions!

Thank you in advance!
