I do *NOT* intend to even start a MPE/Un*x/Posix war, I'm trying to educate
myself in all worlds!  But how can I converse with you without knowing the
proper "language" ?  Here on the list things are pretty clear, but all that
went out the door the first time I talked to a Un*x-guru.  Are you saying
that there are as many conversational forms of these items as there are
flavors of Un*x?  :-)
 
As I said before, I'm genuinely curious; no "bash"ing intended :-)
