Howdy,

The objective is to print to HP 256x type printers attached to a LAN via Jet
Direct boxes from both our 3000
and our 9000. We've got the 3000 doing the deed with Netprint from
Minisoft, external Jet Direct boxes and
a serial to paralell interface box. Enter the 9000.

The 9000 sysadmin guy has been doing some testing and can get some sort of
connection, that is the
9000 "sees" the printer and will print some status info, but that's as far
as it goes. The 9k guy tells
me it sees the JD card and thinks it is a Laser Jet and tries to speak
Postscript to it, which the 2567b
refuses to co-operate with.

Anyone got a 9000 talking to a 256x in this fashion? Got any tips?
Printers gonna be the death-of-me yet.
