I had the same trouble with A.G0.09.  After installing the Express 3
 
patch for MPE/iX 5.0 most of the problems went away including the
 
password problem.  Also you can get the G1.05 version of the PC API from
 
HP's FTP site:ftp.cup.hp.com in the directory:  /dist/pcapi/odbc/g1.05.
 
The filename is hpodbc.exe.
