I had this problem a few weeks ago, the problem was that somehow the
CI-variable HPTYPEAHEAD was set to TRUE. I didn't find who/what set the
var (I know I didn't :-), but I specifically remember the '?008000', so
allthough we're on 5.0 (RWIN/NSVT) I suspect this could well be your
problem.
