Sorry for the late response... QUARK+ will do a backup to disc in 20x compressed mode, it stores the file attributes, passwords, etc that TurboStore does not do.

It is made even more clearly spelled out in the example section of help
on STORE:

EXAMPLE

To store all files on the system (including HFS files), enter:

     STORE / or
     STORE @[log in to unmask]@

To store all MPE named files (and exclude HFS files and
     directories), enter:

     STORE [log in to unmask]@.@

Mange hilsner / With kind regards

Brian,

"/" and "@[log in to unmask]@" are supposed to be the same.

"HELP" for STORE displays:

                    @[log in to unmask]@
/ All the files and directories (MPE and
                              HFS) in the system.

Did you change anything else (like adding ;DIRECTORY)?

Thanks,

Gary Robillard

Brian,

Do a

RESTORE @[log in to unmask]@;listdir

On both tapes and old one, and a new one...

You will probably see that the "/" is restoring all the posix files as
well.
